The Oświęcim “Sabers” officially set off on the ice. Under the agreement of September 28, 2021, the UHT Sabers Oświęcim university ice hockey team was established in the structures of the Unia Oświęcim Club, participating in the European University Hockey League (EUHL).
At noon on September 28, within the walls of the Małopolska State University. rtm. W. Pilecki in Oświęcim, an agreement was signed on the creation of the first university ice hockey team in Poland, University Hockey Team Sabers Oświęcim, between the Student Hockey Club Unia Oświęcim, the University of Oświęcim, the Starosty of Oświęcim and the Mayor of the city of Oświęcim.
